Ridgeland in the news today.

Nothing new to really report just an AP piece listing the bogus argument of Ridgeland that its speed scamera were installed to "save lives".  Something Ban the CAMS DISPELLED AS A COMPLETE LIE by looking at the SC Crash fact!:  http://www.banthecams.org/20101202676/Ridgeland-will-try-to-justify-speed-cameras.html
 

But that hasn’t stopped the mayor from even repeating the tired ole argument from last year that it must "have worked" claiming less wrecks and fatalities.  NO MENTION IN HIS CLAIMS of how many of those WRECKS or Fatalities WERE REALLY CASUED BY EXCEEDING A SPEED LIMIT.  Just the trust me claim he alludes to.

IN Wiltshire, the scamera crowd tried to justify the same “claim” of safety on an expressway without disclosing WHAT caused the wrecks.  Here were the highlights:
 

•an accident where a pedestrian fell from a bridge
•an accident where a gust of wind pushed one truck into another
•several tire blowout accidents
•a crash where a car drove the wrong way
 

But not being fully honest is something to expect from the scamera crowd.
 

At least the SC Senate has seen through the SCAM!

SC Senator Grooms:  "We're absolutely shutting it down," said state Sen. Larry Grooms, chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee.
