How To Legally Shut Down A Mobile Photo Radar Scam Cam
April 8, 2011

Wise Up Winnipeg has repeatedly shown the public the blatant abuse that has taken place with the City’s photo enforcement program.  At the top of the list is short and dangerous amber-times, 250% increase per fine, then mobile enforcement of construction zones with no construction workers and school zones not adjacent to schools, then improperly erected reduced-speed signs and now the coupe de grace: deliberately reducing warning signage that they bragged was reducing speeding offences as much as 84%!

Mayor Sam Katz, Police Chief McCaskill, ACS, Councilors, Premier Selinger and Provincial Politicians all turn a blind eye from the qualified research, the increased collision statistics and the success of real safety programs in other cities and countries. They do not want to hear them or test them because they know revenue will drop quickly and The City will be on the hook for $5 million a year regardless.

That leaves we the people no other choice the to force an intervention with the addict and try and get them off the juice by slowing or stopping the supply of  cash earned in a predatory fashion. Yes it’s time to hit them in the pocketbook.

It’s easy to do with our very visible and portable $LOW DOWN Photo enforcement ahead signs. Just park legally ahead of the upcoming intersection camera or before a mobile photo radar unit, mount your sign and help remind drivers to do the speed limit and to exercise caution at the approaching intersection. In some locations you are actually helping to remind drivers who were robbed of a warning sign by the City.

We posted a short video at the bottom of this post displaying how to shut down a mobile photo radar vehicle using the signs, just follow the same procedure before an intersection camera. Watch the  video quick!

To get a FREE sign, simply call Todd at 204-795-5120, he will also get you in touch with our coordinator for  this Chris Swerdya.

Help us to Stop The Abuse of the Photo Enforcement Program by the City of Winnipeg and help to force the Premier to step in and make the City put up proper signs, the extra second to the amber and signs and decals on the photo radar units. After all the goal is to reduce speeding and red light running so it’s actually your civic duty to help the City with their original Objective- “Put Photo Radar Out Of Business”.

Let’s all do our part to help Mayor Katz and Chief McCaskill to make safer streets

Remember

Just Slow Down, drive safe and keep your money in you pocket!
