TALLAHASSEE -- State law requires school zones with lower speed limits. Studies have found children are much more likely to be hit by a vehicle in the zone than outside of it. That’s why some state lawmakers want to toughen the rules by installing cameras. Bills have been filed to mandate speed cameras in school zones.
