Here a collection of terrible crashes many involving RLV.  Notice that the RLC FAILED TO STOP THE WRECKS (many were at RLC sites).

All the RLC did was send a bill. The only one who really stopped a Dangerous RLR was the cop WHO PULLED THE DRIVER OVER!  Many of these involved people who were not paying attention, weather related, and a few DUI I suspect (by the one guy who ran the light than proceeded to go the wrong way down the street).

Notice that of the RLV Crashes, they were all WAY INTO RED (plus 5 seconds is typical). Also note that the REAR END COLLISIONS WERE SEVERE! Not the minor the scamera side likes to claim.  Rear End Collisions can be very deadly.
