Urbandale City Council members not in favor of red-light cameras

Red-light cameras are not likely to be installed in Urbandale any time soon.

The City Council discussed the idea of installing red-light cameras at city intersections during a work session Tuesday.

 
City Manager A.J. Johnson and Police Chief Ross McCarty asked if the council would be supportive of the cameras and whether they should prepare information.

All five council members said they were not interested in putting the traffic cameras in at this time.
