RLC FAIL to STOP DANGEROUS DRIVER!

Ban the Cams Note:  If you want proof that RLC are USELESS AT STOPPING BAD DRIVERS, look at this article.  This lady is clearly DANGEROUS, SHE NEEDS TO BE PULLED OVER!  NOT SENT A BILL!

That is the problem with photo enforcement, it is not about pulling over dangerous drivers, it is about sending bills out.  Most of what photo enforcement "cite" have been, and will be techincal fouls!

If you don't believe me, GO PULL THE VIOLATION DATA that a RLC company cites!  One rep in TN last fall asked for Right turn on red data, EVERY VENDOR REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH A TN REPRESENTATIVE!  http://www.banthecams.org/20101015555/RLC-VENDORS-REFUSE-TO-GIVE-STATISTICS-ON-NON-DANGEROUS-RIGHT-TURNS-ON-RED-TO-TN-REPRESENTATIVE.html

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque Police Department Traffic Sergeant Donovan Rivera said a 31 year-old woman is a menace behind the wheel.

Over the past two years Amber Gray has been nailed 69 times by the red light cameras, which come to about three times per month.

The red light cameras have nabbed Gray many times, but police said many of those situations were very dangerous including the incident on Carlisle Boulevard and Montgomery Boulevard, where a pedestrian crossing the street nearly lost her life.

Aside from the cameras, APD has pulled her over 23 times for traffic violations.

“I have been an officer for ten years and I can't recall someone exceeding the speed limit that much,” Sergeant Rivera said.

Rivera is talking about a ticket Gray got for driving 88 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone.

Gray has been driving on a revoked license.

Police said she is a crash waiting to happen.

“Someone is going to die at that speed, reckless speed,” Gray said.

Gray owes the city nearly $10,000 in red light camera fines and late fees.

There are no warrants out for her on that because camera violations are a civil matter.

Gray also has a criminal history that includes battery, prostitution and forgery, which she told police was to pay for her heroin habit.
