The city claims it is for "safety" with the usual claims of less "violations" and less "crashes". 

But after REASON Magazine exposed Clarksville, TN UNDERREPORTING ACCIDENTS, http://reason.com/blog/2010/12/06/red-light-cameras-working-as-i trusting Port Lavaca to tell the truth is about makes about as much sense as trusting the honesty of a drug addict not to steal from you!
