port lavaca city council has thrown out the city charter, they refused to allow a valid petition of the people to proceed to the ballot, the only reason offered was that they might lose! you can call the city at 361.552.9793 we need to support our fellow Texans, give them a call.

looks like there is a new astroturf organization out there called traffic safety coalition. They are apparently set up by redflex, they sued port lavaca last week and scared them into blocking the petition. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/34/3424.asp
