BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The president of the Bellingham City Council is saying the city’s move to begin a camera traffic enforcement program was a mistake.

In an interview Wednesday night on KGMI’s PM Bellingham, Stan Snapp reacted to voters’ strong support of the city’s anti-traffic camera initiative.

Though the measure serves only as an advisory vote, Snapp says the council should revisit the issue.

But, he says it may be too late for the city to make a change.

He says Arizona-based American Traffic Solutions will have to decide whether to install any equipment in Bellingham, since its agreement with the city is up for review in less than a year.
