Baytown reaches deal to turn off red light cameras

BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- The City of Baytown says it has reached an agreement with red light camera operators to have them turned off.

The city council voted yesterday to pay American traffic solutions $1 million to end future court costs. Citizens in Baytown voted to have the cameras removed last November.

The city will pay ATS in early October, and the cameras will come own within 30 days of that payment.
