The “Angle” Scam: How Cities (and maybe vendors) use Angle Crashes instead of RLR crashes to manipulate the TRUTH!
How many of you heard this claim from the Scamera Side on RLC: “angle crashes have gone down”????
The scamera side loves to harp on that.
LET ME LET YOU IN ON what I suspect is a DIRTY LITTLE SECRET???
THE ANGLE CRASHES ARE NOT JUST COUNTING RED LIGHT RUNNING Crashes, BUT EVEN NON RED LIGHT RUNNING CRASHES!

The www.newspaper.com got a hold of a report on one Baytown, TX intersection report (an example of 1 page is above). http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/29/2971.asp

This report listed the ANGLE crashes. But they also listed right next to what the LISTED CAUSE was.
NOT All the ANGLE CRASHES WERE RED LIGHT RUNNING RELATED!
Interesting eh.
I added it up.
If we were to use the “angle crash” claim that the vendors and cities like to spout of, it would show 1 less Angle crash for the 3 approaches in this report.
IF WE WERE TO USE THE RLR crashes ONLY (THE ONLY THING A RLC COULD EVEN POSSIBLE BE ABLE TO “PREVENT”, and I DOUBT THAT CLAIM TOO),,,,,
RED LIGHT RUNNING CRASHES WENT UP in the AFTER CAMERA period!
