Note: I personally do a lot posting on the subject of the RLC scam. I do so on my own time (I am not paid to post, not even Ban the Cams pays me any money for articles I post here).

Wandall, you must be getting worried that this little scam of the vendors is about to get EXPOSED as the money making scam it is!
First off in Florida, it was under 60 in 2009 year. It is not the "massive" death hysteria you keep claiming! (And don’t try to take credit with RLC, there weren’t that many up in 2006 thru 2009. The reduction is no doubt because of the effect of the recession on DUI deaths I suspect since 2008, DUI Deaths have been massively down since the recession, and they are very predominate in the RLV crashes, something a RLC WILL NEVER STOP).
Second, it is about the money. THE VAST MAJORITY OF THOSE "SAFETY" SCAMERAS citations are technical fouls like right turns on red (that they are not suppose to be doing it in Florida if “reasonable and prudent”, but still many towns are), stopping over the stop line, and split second mistakes that longer ambers stop.
The IIHS Cherry picked the towns. Further the 2004-08 was compared to a almost decade old period that had the US coming out of a recession! http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/33/3392.asp THE IIHS USED NON RLC INTERSECTION IN THEIR CAMERA TOWNS!

Do you honestly believe a RLC will EVER stop a wreck where someone was NOT paying attention. IF you do I wonder what you are smoking. I have seen enough videos from the RLC (that are hard to get, the vendors don’t like to release them if it hurts them) to know the RLC ARE USELESS!
Quit calling the RLC "safety" cameras. That is not what they are about, and your for profit vendor buddies KNOW IT!
