Ban the Cams commentary: Don’t do a Right turn on Red when a RLC is around EVEN IF YOU STOP! (or dare to stop for the light on or just over the stop line).

The claim of RLC proponents has always been that RLC are there to just stop the “dangerous RLR”. Yet what do we find when people pull the violation data????

(Heck many of the straight thru RLV in other towns are under 1 second, and would all but be eliminated if Ambers went up (ITE PLUS 1 SECOND, Georgia did this), but that is for another discussion).
Why do camera vendors (and cities) do this??? Simply put there is not enough straight thru in violations in many towns to make the RLC profitable.
In the recent article out of East Denver shows that they are also citing for stopping on, or even just past the stop line.

That wasn’t even the worst of it, the vendors are now citing even if you DO stop before the STOP LINE when making a right turn on red! As the East Denver article stated. Gives a whole new meaning to “review” don’t it.
So Ban the Cams has a suggestion.
DON’T TRUST THE CAMERA VENDORS or CITIES to behave themselves or even “review” the pictures, go ask the people in Opa Locka sometime.

WE therefore we would like to make this suggestion till the time PHOTO ENFORCMENT IS BANNED.
DON’T ASSUME that RIGHT TURN on RED (IN ANY TOWN) will not trigger the SCAMERA EVEN IF YOU STOP (even before the stop line).
WE SUGGEST YOU DON’T DO A RIGHT TURN ON RED PERIOD at ANY RLC SCAMERA INTERSECTION!
