Did Univeristy student in Columbus RLC "violation" times review video or just used "time into red"????

Recently a report came out of Columbus on RLC.  A Univeristy student used data "provided" by Redflex and the city that "40% of those caught by cameras missed by at least three seconds." http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/01/15/red-light-offenses-arent-all-close.html

“In my opinion, they’re blatantly running a red light,” Brunner said.

Another 12 months, a second poll calming public support for RLC.  Sample size 508 out of a region with over 2 million in it.

As some of you at Ban the Cams know, I routinely post comments on RLC articles EXPOSING the SCAMERA VENDORS LIES!

Photo Enforcement – the “Safety” SHELL GAME!

The sales pitch of many scamera vendors and towns is that they want photo enforcement for “safety”. 

They go out and use some terrible accident (or incident) to claim that this is the “reason” they “need” photo enforcement.   The problem with that SALES PITCH is that it is a lie.

WE all agree you shouldn't pass a stop school bus with kids exiting and entering.  It is illegal and DANGEROUS.

But the problems with the scamera approach is that it degenerates long term into how much money can be made.

When people heard of Chicago wanting speed scameras for "safety" of the children, many people saw it for the money grab that it was.

I wanted to share with you 9 School Zone Scams I have seen through the years.

Many wrecks will never be stopped by a speed scamera.  Look here at horror night in AU.   How many were REALLY CAUSED by "exceeding" a speed limit  (not logged in because it was there but unrelated.  Example, fell asleep and went 5 over and hit a tree). And how many were caused by tired driving, not paying attention, overcorrecting, etc.  A LOT OF THEM!   Speed scameras are the SNAKE OIL of today!

3 killed when driver hits tree (looks like single car) near Jandowae.  (10 in the evening)

1 killed hitting tree at Dalveen.

1 killed Shepherds Flat (before 1 am), no cause mentioned yet.

1 killed when truck driver crossed into opposing lanes at 2 in the morning.  (Tired driving most likely).

1 man killed while LYING in MIDDLE OF ROAD AT NIGHT!

1 killed when Holden Ute (like a El Camino) crossed center line and hit someone head on.  This is stopped by BARRIER WALLS!  (Other article believe he lost control while changing lanes.  http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/man-dies-in-horrific-freeway-smash-20111105-1n0zq.html)

Six Examples of MISLEADING THE PUBLIC:  "Safety" claims BY TOWNS who USE ATS!
